Indirect Procurement Technician – Industrial Sector

From Catenon, we are collaborating with Contemporary Star Energy (CES), a joint venture driven by Stellantis focused on the development and supply of advanced energy solutions, particularly in the field of batteries and electrification.

We are looking for an Indirect Procurement Technician to join the procurement team of a new industrial plant in Zaragoza, which is developing one of the most relevant electric mobility projects in Europe. This is an opportunity to join from day one in the launch of a strategic, high-impact industrial project.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and execute the full indirect procurement cycle, specifically within the MRO category (Maintenance, Repair and Operations).
- Identify, evaluate and develop a strong base of local and international suppliers, ensuring competitiveness and quality standards.
- Lead contract negotiations with industrial suppliers to secure the best commercial, service and quality conditions.
- Work closely with internal Engineering, Maintenance, Production and Quality teams to anticipate needs and ensure proper supply continuity.
- Ensure security of supply for materials and services, optimizing costs and managing associated risks.
- Actively participate in tendering processes and conduct detailed spend analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage the administrative procurement cycle, including purchase order issuance, follow-up and issue resolution, using ERP systems such as SAP or SAP Ariba.

Requirements:

For this role, we are looking for a professional with the following profile:

Must-Have Requirements:
- At least 2 years of solid experience in indirect procurement within an industrial environment (automotive, metal, chemical, machinery, or continuous manufacturing). Specific experience within the MRO category will be highly valued.
- Proven experience working on-site in a plant environment, with direct interaction with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production departments.
- Strong negotiation skills with industrial suppliers (excluding administrative services procurement or office buying).
- Proficiency in ERP tools and systems (preferably SAP or SAP Ariba), as well as a solid level of Excel for data analysis.
- Advanced English level, with the ability to communicate with international suppliers and handle reporting tasks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to coordinate internally with technical areas.
- Availability to work on-site full-time.
