We are seeking a Project Developer Manager (6–8 years of experience) to join the development team of this fast-growing renewable energy company. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and commercial expertise with hands-on project management skills and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments. This role will focus on the Italian and Spanish markets, with the opportunity to expand into other European regions as the company grows. Reporting directly to the COO, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in driving projects from early-stage origination through to Ready-to-Build (RTB), while contributing to the company’s long-term strategic growth. The position is suited to a proactive, adaptable professional who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to take ownership of meaningful projects with real environmental and social impact. Key Responsibilities - Lead the full development cycle of renewable energy projects: from site origination and permitting to grid connection, land acquisition, and RTB. - Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, landowners, regulators, and consultants to ensure smooth project progression. - Conduct and coordinate due diligence processes across technical, legal, and financial workstreams. - Develop and present business cases and financial models to support investment decisions. - Anticipate risks, monitor regulatory frameworks, and identify new business opportunities. - Collaborate closely with internal teams (engineering, finance, M&A) and external advisors. - Ensure project compliance with environmental and permitting regulations. - Support knowledge transfer and contribute to building the company’s in-house development capabilities. - Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all stakeholder interactions. Required Qualifications & Experience - 6–8 years of experience in renewable energy project development (Hybrid projects, storage + PV experience is a plus). - Proven track record of taking projects from early-stage to Ready-to-Build (RTB). - Excellent analytical and commercial acumen, capable of evaluating and structuring complex opportunities. - Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with experience dealing with municipalities, regulators, and landowners. - Familiarity with Italian development frameworks; exposure to other European markets is an advantage. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline. - Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus. - Hands-on, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure and in evolving environments. - Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition to grow into a leadership role.
