Catenon is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the team of a luxury lifestyle resort in Ibiza.
The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to be part of the opening of a world-class resort.
*Development & Pre-Opening
-Act as the operational lead during the final build and handover
-Oversee operational readiness and commissioning of all departments
-Review layouts, workflows and back-of-house functionality
-Lead OS&E and pre-opening budget planning and control
-Implement operating procedures and luxury service standards
-Coordinate licences, permits and regulatory compliance in Spain
-Install systems, reporting structures and operating frameworks
*Phased Opening – 2026 Villas
-Launch and operate the first seven villas during the 2026 season
-Establish service standards and guest journey expectations
-Host VIP guests, influencers and media
-Build reputation and demand ahead of the full opening
-Act as ambassador for owners, partners and investors
*Full Resort Launch – 2027
-Recruit and build the full resort leadership team
-Deliver a high-profile international opening
-Open all F&B venues, spa, gym, retail and beach club operations
-Implement training programmes and performance culture
-Ensure consistency of brand standards across all outlets
*Commercial & Brand Positioning
-Position ZEST as a leading luxury destination in Ibiza
-Drive revenue performance across rooms, F&B, wellness and experiences
-Work with marketing, PR and influencers to build brand visibility
-Develop relationships with luxury travel advisors and agencies
-Activate revenue through events, weddings and partnerships
*Leadership & Culture
-Build a diverse international workforce from the ground up
-Develop department heads and future leaders
-Create a service culture balancing luxury hospitality and lifestyle energy
-Maintain strong relationships with the local community and authorities
*Profile:
- Current or recent General Manager within a 5-star luxury resort
-Proven pre-opening or major refurbishment opening experience
-Multi-outlet food & beverage leadership experience
-Experience managing VIP / high-profile clientele
-Strong commercial and financial capability
-Developer and operator mindset
-Strong stakeholder management with owners and partners
-Ability to lead in a high-profile guest environment
-Visible, charismatic leadership presence
-Team-building and culture creation
-Crisis and reputation management
-Fluency in Spanish and English
