We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Quality Director to lead and develop the Quality & Regulatory team during an exciting phase of international expansion. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the Quality Management System and ensuring full regulatory compliance across a group active in 20 countries. You will act as a key leader, coaching a dedicated team and collaborating closely with sales, operations, procurement, and logistics departments. This position offers a unique blend of autonomy and responsibility, perfect for a professional looking to make a tangible impact in a fast-growing, global environment. The role includes regular travel to international subsidiaries and offers a flexible hybrid working model to support work-life balance.
Lead, coach, and develop the Quality & Regulatory team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Maintain and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO9001 standards.
Ensure full compliance with international chemical regulations, including REACH, CLP/GHS, and SDS management.
Manage internal and external audits, coordinating Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) effectively.
Evaluate and approve suppliers from a quality and regulatory perspective to maintain supply chain integrity.
Identify potential compliance risks and implement robust mitigation strategies across the organization.
Provide technical and regulatory expertise to support commercial teams and enhance customer relationships.
Monitor quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational excellence.
Liaise with authorities, certification bodies, and international partners to ensure regulatory alignment.
Must-Haves:
- Graduate degree in Chemistry, Quality Management, or a related scientific field.
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in Quality & Regulatory roles within the chemical industry.
- Proven experience in leadership or team coordination, with a passion for people development.
- In-depth knowledge of REACH regulations and ISO9001 standards.
- Full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability for regular international travel.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working with international suppliers and customers.
- Knowledge of Responsible Care and GDP+ standards.
- Familiarity with transport regulations such as ADR, IMDG, and IATA.
