Job Description:

We are seeking a Director of Finance to lead all financial activities of the U.S. operations for an international agricultural company in expansion. This role reports to the Global CFO and the U.S. Managing Director and is critical for ensuring financial excellence and providing strategic support to the business.

Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Control

Oversee finance, accounting, treasury, tax, audit, budgeting, and financial control activities.
Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with local regulations and Group standards.
Maintain integrity of the general ledger, reconciliations, cash flow, intercompany accounts, fixed assets, and inventory.
Act as the key liaison between the U.S. operations and corporate headquarters.

Business Partnership & Operational Support

Work closely with operational teams to understand how financial results are generated.
Provide analysis and recommendations on production, margins, inventory, risks, and overall performance.
Ensure financial information is understood in the context of the business, not just as reporting.

Planning, Compliance & External Relations

Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash planning processes.
Ensure full compliance with tax, legal, audit, and regulatory obligations.
Coordinate relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
Support strategic corporate projects and reporting requirements.

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

Develop and lead the local finance team, promoting discipline and continuous improvement.
Strengthen internal controls and financial processes to support business growth and professionalization.
Foster a hands-on, pragmatic, and collaborative finance culture closely aligned with operational needs.

Requirements:

Active CPA, with prior experience in a Big Four firm.
Experience in operational industries such as agriculture or food production.
Hands-on, strategic profile, comfortable working directly with plant and operational teams.
Residency in the Sacramento area or availability for a high onsite presence in Anderson, California

Company Description:
