Our client, a multinational company in the chemical sector, is looking for a Marine Sales Executive based in the North of Spain, Madrid or Barcelona. Contributes to the overall growth and profitability of the Company Marine Segment and achieves personal turnover and contribution targets through the effective application the company sales tools and sales techniques within the defined geographical area. Promotes concepts and products, identifies new business development opportunities, maintains customer relationships and troubleshoots specific customer problems. Job Responsibilities: • Define strategic market and customer potential using Shape of Results and regularly update target account plans. Qualify, lead and prioritise the account plans to ensure that efforts are focused on customers and new business opportunities with the best possibility of success and best bottom-line results. • Undertake customer categorisation in accordance with company / segment guidelines and review lists on a regular basis to ensure that allocation is still correct. • Prepare weekly / monthly call plans in line with company standards and expectations to ensure that relationships with customers and potential customers are maintained and developed. Obtain feedback on service and products to ensure that any areas of concern and recorded and resolved quickly. • Track personal sales performance against budgeted turnover, gross margin, manageable cost and EBIT targets. Take corrective action as required to ensure that targets are met or exceeded, bringing any variances to the attention of the Regional Director. • Monitor competitor activity to understand their products, pricing policy, strengths and weaknesses and prepare well-grounded sales arguments to persuade customers to change to our company. • Identify and track new-build and maintenance projects related to the Marine market and assist with securing orders for larger projects in conjunction with others as appropriate. • Utilise tools such as CRM, ensuring all contacts, projects, proposals and correspondence are tracked and that data quality is maintained at a high level (>95%). Analyse trends for future use and decision making. Main challenges • Growing business in a known market. • Selling on value and benefit rather than price • How to differentiate the company products from our competitors. • Utilising company tools effectively to develop business • Communicating and co-operating on a regional and global basis • Listening to and understanding the Customers’ needs Requirements: • Advanced College Bachelor’s degree / BSC. • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Sales in the same or similar technical sector. • Advanced level of English. • Hunter commercial spirit. • Acts on own initiative, makes things happen and accepts responsibility for the results. • Identifies and seizes commercial opportunities; has a strong positive impact on business growth and profitability. • Builds a useful network of contacts and relationships and utilizes it to achieve objectives. • Quickly understands and analyzes complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgments. • Communicates in a clear, precise and structured way; speaks with authority and conviction; presents effectively.
