The Scientific CEO will manage the business supporting the established strategy and its development within a dynamic and fast paced working environment. Throughout the organization flexible management is encouraged in an environment of "Open Innovation" as an engine of collaboration and cooperation. In this start-up environment, as Scientific CEO you will manage the business development, project management and operations to achieve target revenue and profitability. Duties include generating project revenue for business unit (BU), analysis of financial data, assuming role of primary liaison with Customers, Vendors, Senior Management, and Investigator sites as needed, and creating and organizing department and processes to achieve targets. Teaming with some of the most talented professionals in the industry, you will gain exposure and work in a dynamic environment to over-deliver and outperform. Essential Functions  Providing oversight for BU projects to ensure study launch, conduct and closeout occurs according to the Customer’s and company's contractual agreement. Ensures studies progress according to internal and Customer quality standards and regulations.  Raising capital for new projects and commercially exploit the lines of investigation.  Forecasting, prioritizing, and managing staff to achieve on-time quality sponsor deliverables, contractual project requirements, utilization goals and profitable results.  Working with senior management to set strategic direction for BU to better target types of projects across selected segments, making recommendations, and driving strategy execution for successful business growth.  Evaluating progress of BU projects and assigned staff to ensure targets for utilization, realization, and timelines are met in a timely manner.  Actively managing and mentoring the Project Management staff in customer management skills, project management skills, Trusted Process compliance, etc.  As necessary, troubleshoots difficulties which may arise in project conduct between the company and Customer, and/or between Clinical Development. Facilitates communication. Acts as a liaison and facilitator between other functional areas for overall operational issues.  Developing and maintaining knowledge of current therapeutic/critical market environment and drug development trends as needed. Requirements  BA/BS in Life Sciences or equivalent education or equivalent related experience, plus clinical research experience in regenerative medicine, advanced therapies, substances of human origin or cancer. In addition, a Business MBA.  At least 5 years of experience actively managing clinical research projects across different functional areas is essential.  Understanding of the academic, scientific, hospital and business environment.  Adept at raising capital for new projects and forming strong teams in various projects.  Solid knowledge on intellectual protection, patents, and the local health system.  Strong leadership skills. Experience in building trust and managing relationships in an ambitious, sometimes high-pressure, multi-disciplinary environment.  Ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment.  Strong presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills as well as a team-oriented approach.  Proactive, ambitious attitude, with a team vision, curiosity, and a desire to learn and face new complex challenges of which they do not
