FUNCTIONS

MISSION: To coordinate and control all the administrative, finance & treasury, accounting & tax activities of the Business unit, acting in accordance with corporate strategy and guidelines, to support the business and ensure full compliance with the local regulations. MAIN ACCOUNTABLITIES: • To be permanently updated about all the finance, accounting & tax issues that could impact the business; • To support corporate department in the process of raising funds from banks or financial markets (BNDES, BNB, Debentures, 4131, etc), including actively participation in the assessment of financial rationality, negotiation and contracting. • To ensure the operational management of existing financing contracts, namely, fulfillment of all project finance covenants and ensure correct booking and conciliation; • To liaise with banks regarding daily bank transactions (open or close bank accounts, process payments, check transaction fees, etc) and LT funding alternatives; • To maintain the cash flow forecast permanently updated to optimize the cash position and anticipate funding needs; • To support the process of accounts payable and receivable (process and check payments, supervise the accounts reconciliation, etc); • To assess alternative funding scenarios, using project finance modeling; • To manage insurance and guarantees required by the business in accordance with the internal guidelines; • To oversee the business unit's accounting and consolidation function. It includes closing accounts properly and timely, every month, in compliance with the accounting standards and regulations; Consolidating Business Unit's companies’ perimeter; • To ensure the annual financial statements are timely and accurately prepared, without qualifications; • To oversee the tax entire process to ensure that all the companies, in every moment, comply with all federal, state and municipal tax obligations; • To promote and supervise complex accounting and taxation analysis, to give advice in the business processes in which those issues are relevant; • To promote the continuous improvement of processes and information systems involved in finance activities, to both improve Business Unit's efficiency and ensure that company financial systems are robust, and support current activities and future growth; • To work close to the Finance, Consolidation & Tax Corporate departments to ensure that both they are timely provided with relevant and accurate data regarding the business unit operation and the Business Unit is executing the company´s strategy; • To establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties, including Banks, Advisors, Auditors; • To lead and develop the finance teams under supervision and implement best practices that reflect and contribute to the implementation of the company's strategy. RESOURCE MANAGEMENT People: Number of Direct Reports: 4 Number of Indirect Reports: 4 Total Number of Position Holders: 1 REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED ACADEMIC SKILLS: • Bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance or Business Administration. • Postgraduation or MBA preferable REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: • 10+ years of experience in the areas of project finance, treasury, accounting & tax, progressively assuming leadership and management responsibilities. • Strong knowledge of the industry; • experience in a multinational company; • Experience in Big4 would be a plus
