Working closely with REVLON for their HQ in Barcelona, we are looking for an R&D Product Researcher, who will be responsible for the testing of cosmetic products in several ways (in vivo, ex vivo). This person will be responsible for design, execution, analysis, and reporting of results. This person will help New Product Development by fostering competitive understanding and generating product/consumer insights.

FUNCIONES

The R&D Product Researcher – Product Testing Technician will be responsible for: - The design, planning and execution of in vivo cosmetic efficacy trials and subsequent analysis and report writing. Focus particularly on competitive hair products. - This person will also coordinate product acceptance tests with end consumers, from study design to results analysis. - Lastly, this person will also help coordinate certain ex vivo instrumental studies for cosmetics products end to end – from identification of competitive benchmarks to performance trials and subsequent claims/demos/visuals highlighting product performance points of difference. - For this job, the candidate will work with different departments and teams, including Salon (and Sensory panel), Claims (and Legal), Analytical lab and Product Development lab, amongst others. Requirements: • University degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology...). Ideally specialized in the cosmetic sector (e.g. Master en Cosmética y Dermofarmacia CESIF or Master en Dermofarmacia y Cometología UB) with 3-5 years of experience managing in vivo efficacy studies of cosmetic products (including test design and data analysis). • Demonstrated competency in efficacy claims testing with the ability to analyze complex data to articulate study outcomes. • Knowledge of cosmetic efficacy study design for multiple cosmetic product categories and efficacy endpoints. • Management of technical protocols, data statistical analysis, reports and claims internal records. • Management of a consumer panel, with proven interactions with end consumers and proven ability to generate insights / qualitative findings related to product. • Experience running competitive landscape analysis – From identification of products to compilation of relevant info (on pack claims, INCI…), e.g. using databases such as Mintel GNPD. • Advanced English Level.
