FUNCTIONS

The role involves performing statistical modelling and extract insights from a wide variety of data sources that impact decision-making to drive business and marketing performance : • Undertake exploratory data analysis using a range of techniques to develop and test hypotheses about how consumers behave and are responding to marketing • Undertake statistical modelling: multi-variate regression, econometrics analysis, attribution modelling, segmentation in line with the needs of the business • Bring numbers and insights to life by displaying data visualisation and modelling results in engaging formats • Involvement in development and delivery of client presentation material • Attendance and involvement at client meetings • Successful management of own resource on projects • Manage and train a team of junior analysts The successful applicant is likely to : - be a graduate in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, math, economics) or a degree with a significant quantitative element - possess solid statistical know-how (regression, clustering, PCA, significance testing - possess solid experience in exploratory analysis and visualisation (identifying patterns, trends, issues) - be familiar with classical Statistics including multi-variate regression - econometrics - - be familiar with many of the techniques below, but more importantly possess the drive to learn new ones (Attribution modelling : TV and digital, audience segmentation, propensity modelling, text mining and content analytics) - have extended abilites to vision what can be achieved with statistical techniques and able to translate statistical and analytic findings into actionable solutions to business issues - present advanced knowledge of specialist analysis packages e.g. R, Eviews, etc. - have a proven experience in handling and analysing data - feel comfortable managing large data sets: extracting, cleaning, combining and validating with SQL/R/Python - be experienced with big data (e.g. cookie logs) and cloud technologies would be an advantage - present existing Knowledge or desire to develop knowledge of visualization software e.g. Tableau, QlickView, etc
