FUNCTIONS
We are currently looking for the Quality Director who will be responsible for the Spanish market. You will be responsible to coordinate and supervise the implementation in Spain of the Quality and Food Safety Policies established, guaranteeing compliance with the Quality and, Food Safety standards and objectives in the Spanish plants.
As key responsibilities, we can highlight the following:
• Coordinate with other areas, departments, customers and suppliers, the actions and monitoring of those aspects related to Quality and Food Safety , to establish specific improvement projects.
• Lead, through the creation of improvement teams, the implementation of the resolution of problems, always seeking to anticipate preventively and identifying the root cause, eliminating losses, and applying tools such as TPM, Q-First, Agility.
• Approve new technologies and analytical methods, according to the needs detected, collaborating with the areas of R & D and Innovation.
• Represent the Company before Official Bodies, Administration and Associations on issues related to Quality and Food Safety.
• Supervise and control the correct application of sites Policies and Procedures related with Clients, Consumers, Risk Management and Authorities.
• Audit and control the correct application of policies and procedures in the field of QSE (Food safety HACCP & GMPs and/or people & facilities safety) for the sites.
• Ensure in the plants the compliance with all the Q&E legal licenses and certificates.
• Lead Crisis committees when needed
• Implement continuous improvement tools relating to Company Q&E reputation, Q&E costs and Q&E systems: employee training, certification audits, internal audits (including corrective action implementation)
• Check the products conformity in accordance with internal specifications.
• Implement procedures developed by R&D, Quality department concerning production field at sites level.
Our ideal candidate will have:
• University studies in Veterinary, Biology, Chemistry, Food Technology
• Experience at least 7 years in management, processes and quality in the food industry
•Multinational companies experience
•Results driven approach, Change management, organization, flexibility, leadership, preventive mindset and solving problem skills as key competences for the role.
•High English level.
•Availability to travel
