The world's oldest EDM machine manufacturer and a key player in the global market, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Field Service Technician to contribute to their legacy of over 70 years of innovation. Responsibilities: As a Field Service Technician you'll be at the forefront of EDM technology, responsible for a range of tasks to ensure the optimal functioning of our machines and superior customer satisfaction. Your key responsibilities include: At Customer Premises: - Commissioning of new and existing machines. - Installation, setup, and comprehensive training for operators and maintenance staff. - Field repair and maintenance to guarantee uninterrupted machine performance. At Company’s Office: - Provide hot line service support via phone and emails. - Desk service assistance for quotes, purchase orders, sales orders, invoicing, shipping, and receiving of parts and materials. - Organize and manage the storage and warehousing of spare parts efficiently. Further Responsibilities: - Travel to customer sites, including all 50 states and occasionally to Canada. - Mainly focused on customers in Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, and Texas. - Report service activities and maintain detailed records. - Establish and nurture customer relationships. - Offer practical technical solutions and advice to customers. Requirements: - To thrive in this role, you should possess the following: - More than 2 years of experience servicing EDM machines. - Mechatronic background with knowledge in both mechanics and electronics, preferably in EDM or Machine Tools. - Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings. - Proficient in electronic diagnosis to circuit board level, including motherboards and I/O racks/cards. - Experience with CNC and relevant software. - Education in Mechatronics, Industrial Mechanics, or Industrial Electronics. - Strong communication skills, organizational prowess, and independence. - Disciplined, self-driven, with a can-do attitude. - Good presence and understanding of customer needs. - Ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions for various electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues. - Preferred residence near the office. - Willingness to travel, and knowledge of Spanish is a plus for communication with the parent company.
