FUNCTIONS

The responsibilities: - Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the country’s financial strength and performance and future direction - Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans, analyzing the impact of strategic plans - Provide timely and accurate financial reports and budgets, apprising senior management of potential issues and financial trends - Oversee the issuance of financial information and statutory accounts and ensure that all records are fully compliant with IFRS and regulatory requirements - Ensure financial policies and procedures and internal controls are properly implemented, recommending and implementing improvements to process effectiveness - Lead financings and represent the company with lenders, investment banks, and minority shareholders - Provide financial advice on new project opportunities, including acquisition due diligence and financing for potential M&A and development projects - Assess and manage portfolio risks, reporting identified risks to the audit committee and overseeing insurance program and other risk prevention initiatives - Oversee treasury and tax functions; optimize cash management and hedge strategies and proactively manage tax obligations, ensuring compliance with all regulations - Drive performance of regional finance team, developing individuals and identifying critical successors You are: - A Communicator. You can drive both operational IT and large project portfolios and have successfully managed teams - A Thinker. You see the big-picture. You like data and aren’t afraid to use it You understand the importance of targets and KPIs but also the concept of garbage in/garbage out You will also have: - A minimum of ten years in accounting and finance, with five or more years in senior leadership roles - Assumed a finance operational role including the day-to-day cash management of the company you worked with - Proven leadership, project management and organizational capabilities - Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance - Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation or equivalent - IFRS and public company reporting experience a plus Track record in leading and completing capital market financings and transactions, ideally in the energy and infrastructure sector in Mexico
