FUNCTIONS
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with accounts.
The KAM will ensure the accounts receive the highest level of service and attention. This role will assist the Sr. Sales Director in developing strategic plans to meet clients’ needs, as well as working closely with various internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The KAM will also identify new opportunities within the key account and serve as the main point of contact.

Qualifications:
B.A. College Graduate
Minimum 5 years of previous experience in Retail Planning, Wholesale, or Buying
Strong financial background, interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong long-term relationships with customers
Excellent analytic skills with strong understanding of retail math and sales planning
Organized, driven, and detail-oriented
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:
The duties described below, however, are not all inclusive and may be adjusted as needed:
Build relationships with retailers and coordinate all facets of the business.
Identify and respond to opportunities that build long-term market share and maximize short-term sales (tools, processes, etc.).
Analyze all data reporting weekly, using knowledge to drive sales while managing healthy, profitable partnerships.
Present seasonally to accounts, making recommendations based on sales performance, merchandising opportunities, and trends.
Recommend orders for some clients. Drive the business by identifying reorder and replenishment opportunities.
Review all orders.
Track and manage Purchase Orders to ensure timely and complete shipping.
Maintain accurate initial forecasting by collection based on distribution history and goals.
Work with Trade Marketing to develop specific activities to drive sales and use sell-in and sell-thru analysis to determine ROI.
Validate any returns, DIF, and any deductions with the retailers.
Assist in new retailer vendor paperwork in coordination with Sales, IT, Operations, and Finance.
Set up new SKUs in retailer’s systems.
Conduct Ad/Promo performance analysis.
Track allocated, new, and promotional SKUs (Orders vs. Actual).
Execute ad hoc projects as directed by management.
Update and maintain store locator.
Manage order forms and UPC lists.
Travel as needed.
