CONSTRUCTION AND AUXILIARY REAL ESTATE
FUNCTIONS
Your main responsibility is to develop project planning and monitoring systems to generate relevant informationto assess the progress of a project in terms of time and cost.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Conducts risk assessments on costing schedules to identify potential delays or disputes that may impact the programme
-Develops cost schedule to forecast estimated cost of completion
-Develops and maintains effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
-Develops and maintains an internal Target program, ensuring it is included in all tenders, subcontracts, procurement and contracts
-Identifies milestones, critical path tasks and long lead time tasks and reports against these
-Implements a Change Management process for changes to the Master Program
-Implements a formal approval process for use of program float
-Plans management through program assessments, project work plans, and reporting in conjunction with other departments. Manages team members to meet program deliverables
-Key contact with clients for program modification or deliverables. Client interactions and client advisement of evolving project circumstances and anticipated impacts on program outcomes
-Creates project timelines for deliverables, development of processes, assists in budget management
-Develop measurement metrics for client satisfaction, team efficiency, assists quality assurance and project timeliness
-Any other duties as may be required by the project
Financial:
-Monitors the financial performance of all elements of the program and progress
-Works with the Senior Managers to improve Commercial Advantage of the Project Quality, Environmental and Safety
-Ensures all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery
-Ensures that the project teams execute all aspects of the project works in accordance with quality requirements (e.g. all non-conformances and defects closed out)
-Ensures compliance with all relevant HSE policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirements
Risk
-Actively and constantly identifies risk and opportunity for the project in relation to area of control and the wider project
-Leads the process of developing and implementing measures to mitigate risk and exploit opportunity
-Communicates and escalates risk and opportunity as required to best protect the interests of the project
Scheduling and Reporting:
-Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
-Contributes to preparing accurate and timely monthly reports
-Reports regularly to Senior Managers on the status of implementation and its effectiveness.
Requirements:
- 8 years’ planning and/or project management experience in a construction/engineering environment
- Engineer degree
- Good knowledge of Primavera
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Package
- Good level in English (international environment)
- Good at multi-tasking and demonstrates sound judgments, including balancing competing issues
- Specialised knowledge of project scheduling and program logic networking
- Demonstrable understanding of design engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning methodologies
- Presented problem solving / analytical skills
- Demonstrated relevant leadership skills
- Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same
