FUNCTIONS
You will form part of the Rolling Stock Project and a key member of the Project team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in managing the contractual relation between our client and the end client of the Project. You will negotiate contract variations, advise management, and ensure all contracts are completed efficiently.
Responsibilities
• Ensuring the drafting of timely and precise contractual correspondence.
• Providing your interpretation on different contractual provisions to protect the companies interests and mitigate risks to the maximum extent possible.
• Managing all communication with the customer to make certain everything is correctly registered.
• Managing all documentation with the Project Manager.
• Preempting and closely monitoring all potential risks and opportunities with the Project Manager.
• Supporting and guiding all stakeholders throughout complex negotiations in both escalated technical and non-technical requirements.
• Managing any potential claims together with Legal Department including reviewing and negotiating settlement agreements.
• Negotiating contract closure and coordination of the legal strategy in close conjugation with the Legal Department.
• Post-contract analysis and reporting.
• Maintaining up to date with the best industry practices for negotiating and drafting Rail contracts.
Requirements
• A relevant degree (e.g. Engineering or Technical, Law or Business Admin.) is essential.
• High level of French and English essential. Spanish would be highly valued.
• At least 10 years of experience in contract management preferably within the rail sector or other large scale and industrial projects.
• A proven track record of managing complex projects and proficient in handling figures, financial data and technical specifications.
• Excellent presentation and writing skills.
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
• Outstanding client communication / management skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Accurate and precise attention to detail.
• Proactive and a real team player.
• Open to frequent European travel.
