Our client is a leading FMCG company with a strategic subsidiary in Morocco. Due to a new business set up the company now seeks a Group Data Science & Business Intelligence Senior Analyst to be based in Casablanca. The Group Data Science & Business Intelligence Senior Analyst is responsible to own, enable and support all the business intelligence, advance analytics and digital product ideation efforts in alignment with the core objectives of the commercial organization and according to the Company Strategy and Policy, all this with the end goal of enabling data driven ways to reach optimal results, profitability improvements and therefore efficiencies to run the business, develop also a better data and analytics culture within the organization.

FUNCTIONS

FUNCTIONS - Define new and develop existent reporting of relevant commercial, industrial or operational KPI’s required by the group to monitor progress towards success. - Develop market intelligence insights which will help the commercial area to gain expertise and action-ability in the markets in which the company operates. - Define best practices and methodologies to be implemented around Advance Analytics / Data Science core initiatives supported by the business. - Contribute actively from a research and investigation standpoint in order to enrich the insights brought to the surface while answering key business questions in an innovative way. - Gather and present the information required on the Commercial meetings and Executive Committees. - Push for a Data driven and Data Analytics culture within the organization seeking for a more informed decision making process. - Engage other departments seeking for support on relevant DS and BI initiatives. - Cooperate with IT department to deploy software and data models upgrades. - Review and validate commercial data as it is collected. Drive standardization across different BUs and data sources of the company. REQUIREMENTS - The ideal candidate has a Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or similar Engineer/Discipline, with more than 4 years of demonstrated experience as Data Scientist or Advance Analytics Analyst and more than 4 years of proven experience building Business Intelligence solutions. Desirable experience in Fast Moving Consumer Good. - Knowledge in statistics, data analysis, critical/logical thinking, business intelligence, business acumen. - English and French Proficiency. - Advanced knowledge in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau and Data Science open source tools and technologies such as Python, Scala, etc. - At least intermediate level knowledge with Cloud Computing infrastructures such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, etc. - Advanced level of all the Office Package - Excellent in conveying effectively complex concepts to non-experts in business language. - Possess a deep understanding of analytics and statistics, innovative mind-set, creativity and out-of-the-box thinking.
