ABOUT THE ROLE:
What you’ll do?
- Support the Head of Finance and Aviation including managing the day-to-day operations of the Contract/Lease Management Team, and all related outsource providers.
- Track cash flow and financial planning as well as analyze the company's financial strengths and weaknesses, and propose corrective actions.
- Manage a portfolio of aircraft and engines, ensuring all contracts are managed efficiently, including invoicing and receivables, letter of credits, insurance renewals, and financial reviews
- Oversee the daily collection effort, working closely with Risk, HOF, and Commercial Departments to execute the strategy for the management of challenging Airline accounts including the collection of outstanding receivables, preparing and delivering Notices of Default, customer-facing workouts, and any among other tasks to protect the assumed economics throughout the life of the lease.
- Project and manage the capture and integrity of all relevant lease and portfolio lease information into the ACMS system and ensure adequate controls are in place and performing.
- Define and strategize opportunities to improve business processes, devise plans to implement such changes, and execute them.
- Work cross-functionally with other internal departments and play a key role in the team.
- Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/President and/or members of the executive management team. Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budget and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting. Advising on long-term business and financial planning.
- FP&A on the aviation fuel market & purchasing, dollar exchange rates, and aircraft finance leasing.
What you’ll bring?
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Business Accounting, Finance, or related field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
- 10 years of proven experience working in the Airline/Aviation industry.
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
with shifting deadlines.
- Proficient in the use of financial management software.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint; web-based, and email programs.
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
- Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language skills: Advanced level of English
