Job description:
As Director of Sales & Marketing, you will develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. Your role is essential in driving business growth, maintaining strong customer engagement, and leveraging the power of a unique brand and value proposition. You will build and nurture relationships with key partners to amplify our brand's presence and achieve business objectives through a customer-centric approach. Your contributions will span across direct consumer focus, IP activations, disruptive direct-to-consumer tactics, partnerships, brand experience, and innovative activities within the brand’s portfolio. You need to be a professional with an open mind and the ability to think outside the box to support this hotel's unique value proposition.
Key responsibilities:
Sales & Marketing Strategy:
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals.
• Identify, establish, and maintain strategic partnerships to enhance brand visibility and reach new audiences.
• Create unique, immersive experiential initiatives in coordination with the Corporate Director in charge of Brand Experience.
Team Leadership:
• Train and manage the sales and marketing team.
• Set performance goals, provide coaching, and conduct regular evaluations to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
Revenue Management:
• Lead the revenue management team to optimize pricing and inventory strategies.
• Ensure effective use of proprietary distribution channels, including on line travel agencies (OTAs), global distribution systems (GDS), and direct brand channels.
Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand the client base.
Marketing Strategy:
• Develop and oversee digital marketing, advertising, and promotional strategies.
• Lead the marketing team to create compelling campaigns and materials.
• Manage the hotel's online presence, including social media platforms.
Reporting, Budgeting, and Forecasting:
• Develop and manage the sales & marketing budget, including revenue and expense forecasting.
• Prepare regular performance metrics, market insights, and analysis reports for senior management.
• Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
The ideal candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in hospitality distribution, sales, and marketing.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in digital marketing and analytics tools.
• Creative and innovative thinking.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• English mandatory. Spanish desirable.
