FUNCTIONS
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who will play a vital role in managing the financial and accounting operations of the company. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting guidelines, reliable and timely financial information. You will report to the CFO, coordinating one accountant and collaborating closely with Controlling department to create a powerful finance function. The finance manager will be responsible both for the Foundation and the different business units underneath.
As key responsibilities we can highlight the following:
o Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts
receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
o Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial transactions, such as cash
management, invoicing, and expense management.
o Monitors receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated
o Overseeing the month and quarterly end process, including review and reconciliations of
accounts.
o Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations, in collaboration with external consultants.
o Maintain effective financial and accounting systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
o Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and legislation, and proactively address any potential risks or non-compliance issues.
o Collaborate with Controlling department in order to provide financial data and analisys to support management decision making.
o Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Our ideal candidate will:
o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
o Proven experience as Finance Manager, ideally in companies with inventory management.
o Extensive knowledge of financial management, Spanish and international accounting principles, and compliance.
o Proficiency in financial management systems and software (ideally experience with SAGE), and advanced Excel skills.
o Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
o Fluent in English and Spanish. Any other language being an advantage.
o Passion for the mission and goals of the foundation
