FUNCTIONS
Our client, a leading global manufacturer of machinery and complete lines for beverage and food processing, filling, and packaging, is looking for a Head of Sales - New Machines in Italy. The new Head of Sales can be based anywhere in Italy, but will need to travel very frequently.
Your Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all Sales activities within Italy
• Generate and expedite all new sales leads, opportunities and enquiries
• Responsible both technically and commercially for all new machinery, enquiries and orders
• Build strong business relationships with both new and existing customers
• Be an inspiring leader to the local sales team; foster the development of the local sales organization
• Identify opportunities, understand customer needs and highlight the company's USP's
• Drive regular business review meetings both internally and externally
• Record new opportunities in the CRM system and ensure all live enquiries are updated
• Attend customer visits to the company's factories for pre and post sales requirements
• And all other tasks needed to successfully lead the Sales function in Italy
Your Profile:
• You are passionate about the company's technology and about sales
• You have a solid technical background, commercial awareness and great communication skills
• You are customer-oriented, with proven experience in sales-oriented functions and very good negotiation skills
• You have great people management skills and enjoy social interaction
• You are a self-starter, assertive, creative and embracing change, and want to make a difference every day
• You have strong analytical and strategical skills, but you are also solution-oriented and ready to act with a pragmatic "can-do" attitude
• You are fluent in Italian and English
• Your profile demonstrates intercultural openness and a self-reflective attitude
• You love travelling – this role requires very frequent business travel across Italy (around 4 days/week)
