FUNCTIONS

The employee will be part of the Paris Team with a direct reporting line to the Deputy Manager and a functional reporting to the Accounting Department and Operations and Control Manager in Spain. Responsabilities: • Responsibility for the management of Business Performance Reporting, Financial Control and Regulatory Reporting. • Oversee as well as active preparation and production of performance management information and Board reports. • Oversee preparation and production of all regulatory returns to the PRA/FCA/BoE/BoF, Local tax authorities (Corporation, VAT, BT, ELS, FATCA, CRS & BSI, etc…) and parent company returns. • Preparation and production of management of financial accounts in French Gaaps • Reconciliation, investigation and control of General Ledger. • Protect the branch´s Liquidity position and maintain Nostro balances. • Liaison with external auditors, PRA, Tax Consultants and local authorities. • Advise and liaise with the Deputy Manager on all financial, regulatory and budgetary matters. • Budget preparation and control, Maintenance of Assets registers, expense control and Invoice management. • Keeping abreast of regulatory and legislative changes and providing advice to enable the businesses to operate in a controlled manner. • Development and implementation of accounting policies and controls. • Reviewing new business initiatives and assessing their regulatory implications. • To contribute to the development and implementation of the Bank’s strategic plan. • Cooperation with internal and external audit and with reporting and accounting departments in Head Office. • Work closely with other departments to ensure the correct functioning of the branch as a whole. • Perform other duties as required by supervisor. Qualifications: • Business administration, finance or economics degree. A Masters or postgraduate degree will be valued positively. • Minimum 5 years documented professional experience acquired. • High level of English and French. Good knowledge of written and spoken Spanish. • IT Literate, especially Excel and knowledge of banking and reporting applications. Competences / Key Skills: • High level of communication skills required; articulate and clear thinking. • Teamwork and cooperation within the Team and with other departments. Results oriented. • Ability to draft accurate, clear and concise reports. • Excellent organizational skills and capable to establish priorities. • Pragmatic, organized and self-motivated; open to learn new skills and help with administrative duties.
