FUNCTIONS

Our client is an ambitious tech startup based in Spain and about to launch in the US, UK and ES markets with its one-of-a-kind software that will create a whole new business category. We are looking for a Sales Director to join our Madrid office, reporting to our CEO. You'll play an instrumental role in getting our unique product in front of potential customers, understanding their needs, helping them advance through the buyer’s journey, and closing deals Responsibilities • Recruit, train, and retain a top performing sales team • Develop and deploy a comprehensive sales strategy that maximizes business opportunities in Spain, UK, and USA • Hit and strive to exceed agreed quarterly and annual sales targets • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and implement ad-hoc strategies to turn prospects into clients • Develop and maintain sales forecasts and accurately predict revenue on a monthly basis • Cultivate and develop effective business relationships with senior influencers and key decision makers • Conduct negotiations and close deals • Apply a consultative selling methodology in order to create value propositions for strategic opportunities to attract and grow revenue • Provide demonstrations, presentations, and consultation services for the sales team, existing clients, and prospects • Keep CRM system complete and up to date • Develop strong relationships with internal teams and work collaboratively with them towards business success • Become an expert on our product and how it relates to customers’ needs • Follow up with the customers in after-sales process to ensure smooth project implementation and transition to customer success management Requirements • Native Spanish speaker with excellent communication skills • English speaker to a full professional level of fluency • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or business-related field • Minimum of seven years' experience in a sales leadership position within B2B SaaS industry with a proven track record of success, both in Spain and internationally • An extensive network of Spanish and British contacts in mid-market / large enterprises and ability to leverage those existing relationships to build pipeline effectively • In-depth knowledge in selling strategies and methods, as well as team motivation techniques • Skilled with sales technology and CRM software • Knowledgeable about startups, software products, and finance • Able to translate technical solutions into business language • Excellent strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills • Deep knowledge of sales function hiring, onboarding & training, process, measurement, incentives & compensation • Flexible to travel internationally (when applicable) • Traits: Results-oriented | Collaborative | Persuasive | Outgoing | Relationship builder | Analytical | Proactive | Enthusiastic | Communicative | Innovative | Empathetic | Team player
