FUNCTIONS
The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and robust financial controls across multiple entities in various international markets. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, supply chain, marketing teams and Revlon SSC teams to ensure accurate reporting of local and US GAAP financials.
The role will report to the International Accounting Controller and will be responsible for interacting with a large Revlon shared service centres to manage all close related activities for international and brand.
Responsibilities:
Support the International Accounting Controller in all aspects of financial close and monthly reporting for the international Revlon business. Overseeing the Blackline checklist, ensuring reporting accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to deadlines.
Prepare workings for key journals and ad hoc journals during close cycle and work with Revlon SSC to post journals (e.g. GTN, accruals, prepayments).
Review gross to net and deductions with market finance and business to ensure accuracy and correct P&L and BS reporting.
Support revenue recognition controls and completion of workings for postings.
Develop strong relationships, interact and help Revlon SSC on queries and calculations for journals and overall month end close.
Play integral role in balance sheet reviews for relevant international entities, including reviews of key Blackline BS recs, BS flux analysis for relevant entities, engaging with the business to understand BS items, and reviewing key balance sheet metrics and KPIs.
Work with International Accounting Controller on AR, AP and inventory balance sheet recs and reporting, ensuring full understanding of these reconciliations and support with working capital metrics. (e.g. GRNI / GRIR, inventory provisions, bad debt).
Business partner with Market Finance, FP&A, Operations Finance and other Revlon business functions to support accurate reporting and efficient month end close.
Keep up to date with key technical accounting and GAAP changes in IFRS, US GAAP and implications on international entities.
Support tax team and providers with tax provision calculations during close periods.
Support finance and tax teams with statutory compliance queries and analysis when required – for example tax packs, PBC list queries, balance sheet commentary and overall audit queries.
Support International Accounting Controller with US GAAP and statutory financial reporting and ERP ledgers including US GAAP to local GAAP reconciliations and understanding key differences.
Play an integral role in the efficiency and transformation projects with Global Process Owner Leaders (GPO).
Other ad-hoc tasks and projects as requested.
Requirements:
Degree en Business Administration, Economics, accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within an international, product-based, or FMCG environment.
Fluent English and Spanish – additional languages a plus
Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet tight deadlines.
Experience with working in a fast paced multi-cultural and multi-jurisdictional environment.
