FUNCTIONS
As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in expanding market presence and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with distributors, internal sales teams, and marketing to develop and execute a strategic sales plan. Your responsibilities will include managing strong relationships with key end-users and distributors, achieving sales targets, and increasing market share through strategic initiatives and deep product knowledge.
Your responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with distributors, internal sales teams, and the Regional Sales Director to identify and target key end-user accounts. Develop and implement an annual sales plan with specific revenue goals for each distributor and product category.
- Revenue Growth: Design and execute strategies to grow revenue within the assigned territory and achieve defined sales targets.
- Relationship Management: Build and strengthen relationships with distributors and end-users, aiming to increase distributor engagement and drive growth. Coordinate with coating and adhesive manufacturers to ensure the company’s equipment is specified alongside their products.
- End-User Engagement: Jointly develop and implement growth strategies with distribution partners. Plan and conduct end-user visits to identify improvement areas and present company solutions.
- Product Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of the company’s product portfolio to enhance sales effectiveness and deliver high-value solutions.
- Training & Support: Train and develop distributor staff to ensure they are competent in servicing customers and promoting the company’s solutions. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for end-users and partners.
- Market Analysis: Utilize market segmentation analysis and effective territory/time management to develop focused sales strategies.
- Event Participation: Represent the company at trade shows and technical days. Engage with attendees, explain product features, and address inquiries.
- Budget Management: Develop, submit, and manage an annual travel budget.
- Reporting: Provide regular monthly feedback and reporting to management through assigned reporting methods. Offer input regarding product development requirements and market needs.
Your profile:
- 5+ years of professional experience in technical sales, ideally in the finishing industry.
- Experience or understanding of coating atomization technology, spray finishing equipment, and fluid handling/application (e.g., primers, lacquers, varnishes) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in managing a distribution network.
- Native-level French, with at least intermediate English (B1–B2).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Independent, commercially savvy, and customer-focused mindset.
- High willingness to travel frequently throughout France.
- Proficient in standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
