FUNCTIES
Reporting to the Operations Manager Global and leading a team you will: develop and Lead the EHS strategy and programs with the aim to reach a Zero Incident operation , in full legal compliance with local laws and regulations , and aligned with the corporate sustainability goals .
Key Accountabilities:
o Develop the new EHS strategy for the company with specific focus on the operation of local sites. This strategy will be later on rolled out to the rest of the sites of the company.
- The EHS strategy will focus on developing a safety culture aiming to elimination of incidents .
o Ensure the proper roll out and/or implementation of EHS policies and priorities .
o Continuously improve the quality of the collected/published/communicated data so that they can be used as a reliable operational tool/support.
o Ensure compliance with local H&S legal requirements as well as company's H&S audit. protocols.
o Support sites during developing and implementation of EHS programs/initiatives arising at company level.
o Ensure full implementation of comapany Safety System (Safety Compliance + Safety Continuous Improvement + Safety Communication & Training).
o Support sites to identify/challenge/achieve their environmental objectives.
o Evaluate H&S requirements compliance of capital expenditure requests as well as perform H&S Audits within the perimeter.
o Ensure in time and accurate EHS figures reporting.
o Participate in the Global Sustainability Program
Requierments:
This is a challenging role that requires the candidate to show ownership, enthusiasm, professionalism and towards operations and business in general. The desired candidate is perhaps currently in a different industry, such as the automotive, electronics or pharma industry, or the wider chemicals industry.
• Min. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of operations management experience, of which at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment
• Ability and energy to drive change management process
• Candidate uses analytical work and data to provide insights, make decisions and provide workable solutions for improvements
• Extremely well organized, keen attention to detail and flexibility to work with different aspects of a business
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Fact driven and result focused
Travelling : Expected 10-20% travel to international locations in USA and Europe
