FUNCTIES
Develop and Execute category strategies through collaboration with internal client business stakeholders and external suppliers:
- Work alongside business stakeholdersto develop and implement strategic category plans that focus on costs / service level improvements for fleet Maintenance, Tyres and Spare Parts Categories.
- Focus should be on consolidating supplier base and developing long term partnerships with preferred vendors
- Initially focused on Spain, followed by rolling out the "toolkit" into other countries.
- Develop and maintain supplier partnerships to improve bottom line performance whilst ensuring suppliers adhere to compliance / ESG and service level targets
- Generate value in terms of service quality, delivery, and cost; contributing significantly to procurement and wider company's goals and objectives
-As well as owning Fleet Maintenance, Tyres and Spare Parts Categories, become involved in broader procurement initiatives
End-to-End category management of Fleet Spare Parts, Tyres and Maintenance categories:
- Actively manage supplier agreements throughout their lifecycle from contract setup to administration, re-pricing, and termination; specifically:
- Leading tendering process, including designing category specific RFP documentation, supplier negotiations, award recommendations and supplier contract execution
- Defining contract risks and working with company's Legal department to ensure risks are mitigated against in final contract drafts
- Working alongside Finance to develop business cases / benefits estimates to be signed off prior to award decision
- Ensuring suppliers follow company's recommended P2P process and being point of contact for any p2p issues
- Ongoing management of supplier relationships, ensuring delivery of company's performance / quality / financial requirements
- Ongoing monitoring of product / service satisfaction by collection feedback directly from Operations
- Management of periodic price reviews – accountability for the end-to-end process of negotiation through to sign-off
Periodic industry and market analysis to identify key market trends (e.g. new products, suppliers) as well as macro economic factors affecting prices / service levels
- Ongoing tracking and monitoring of key category KPIs
- Regular monitoring and tracking of key category KPIs that cover finance, supplier performance, vendor compliance and operations to ensure stated contract benefits are realised and costs are transparent
- Lead deep dives into KPI data and work with key stakeholders to improve KPI performance
- Support business owners with monthly procurement steerco preparation, which includes reviewing KPIs, with ability to evidence delivered benefits
Training / upskilling other team members
- Provide a coaching role in category strategy development, passing on valuable knowledge within the Procurement team
Requeriments:
■ Engineer Degree or others University Degrees
■ Experience in end-to-end Category Management
■ Analytically strong - comfortable with data analysis with ability to draw sensible conclusions
■ Self starter - ability to use own initiative and lead workstreams
■ Based in Spain, speaks Spanish and English (at least B2 level)
■ Knowledge of Fleet categories is desirable, but not essential
