System Engineer for Energy and Propulsion & Brake Subsystems Responsibilities: - To be part of the specific design team for each module, even participating in design revisions with end customer. - To be responsible (shared with the specific experts in CAF Spain) of the: - Generation of design solutions for the specific scope in tender phase. - Acceptance process of the design (including arquitectures, design solutions, documents, etc…). - To generate necessary documentation oriented to generation of tender proposal, Systems dimensioning criteria, Customer Design Revisions and Approval process, to provide quick answers to the customer, obtain on time answers from them as well as to anticipate the validation of documents (validation of comments from customer prior to receiving official letters). Activities: - Review technical specification and evaluation in order to identify the solution which best fit CAF and the Customer needs in tender phase. - Define preliminary architectures and performances of the subsystems in tender phase. - Provide input for elaborating the tender budget - Review design solutions under design, revisit contractual requirements, applicable standards, check the correct definition of these solutions. - Technical management of supplier of corresponding System for the tender and project phase: proposals validation, documentation exchange, requirements compliance, V&V process, …. - Generate documentation for the tender phase (technical descriptions, calculations and compliance level) and project phase (design reviews of the affected Systems and for the Homologation process). - Complete de requirement management lifecycle: revision, implementation, traceability, verification&validation, closure. - Define the validation process of the corresponding System: definition of test procedures, participation in tests, … - Participate/Lead the validation process of the related subsystem, check the compliance of applicable requirements, analyze the results, close requirements, … Requisites Qualification: Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Specific Professional Experience: · Experienced (a minimum of 3 years) in railway sector in System Engineering, managing Energy management, Traction System and Pneumatical Brake Systems. · Experience in managing with end customers (DB or equivalent, or Metro authorities). · Knowledge in German standards and Approval process. · Experience in management of Brake, Propulsion and Brake systems suppliers. · Experience in Validation process of Electrical Traction and Pneumatical Brake systems. Skills: · Good skills to communicate and work in group. · Adaptability to a fast-evolving environment. · Strictness but fitting to defined and given methodology and instructions. · Languages: German and English (Spanish, as alternative, would be favourably considered).
