Nikon Europe B.V. is responsible for coordinating the marketing and sales activities of imiging products in Europe. Within the Commercial Strategy team, we are looking to recruit a Product Manager Imaging Products.
In this position, you will be required to develop, implement and optimize life-cycle strategies for Nikon’s imaging products, enabling successful sales and distribution across Europe. You shall report to the Manager Product Marketing.
Main Responsibilities
• Develop marketing and product strategies for new and existing products (4P)
• Provide input to the planning and development of Nikon product mix strategy
• Monitor and report on competition’s activities and develop/propose counter strategies where necessary
• Work with global, BV and local communication teams to ensure safe, smooth and accurate creation of product launch and product life cycle materials
• Support product budgeting and allocation processes
• Take ownership of allocated products and projects and be the product evangelist for those
Required Profile
• Three to five years of professional experience in a comparable position in an international environment (preferably professional products industry)
• Experience in a consumer electronics, consumer goods and/or FMCG organisation desirable
• Experience in the evaluation of product design and the further development of product concepts
• Experience in managing complex projects
• Experience in managing copywriting processes is beneficial
• Experiences in cooperation/collaboration with a global headquarter and local sales organisations
• Analytical understanding of the consumer goods and imaging market
• Consumer marketing, professional product genre & competitor analysis, distinctive technical knowledge and analytical skills
• Understanding of the European consumer electronics market incl. their mechanism, structures and competitors
• Understanding of the imaging market across Europe incl. market opportunity, target customers, key buying factors, product differentiation points
• Business acumen, results driven and “hunger” for success
• Excellent communication skills in English (written as well as spoken)
• Approaches problem-solving creatively, analytically and systematically to reach optimal solutions
• Quantitative and analytical abilities
• Strong attention to detail, accurate, organized and structured, but also flexible
• Willingness/ability to travel as part of the supportive role
