For our Customer , a leading company founded in 1957 and headquartered in Barcelona (Spain), specialized in the design, manufacturing and commercialization of GET-Ground Engaging Tools (teeth, adapters, shrouds and locking elements) for earth-moving machinery (e.g. excavators, loaders, draglines, etc...) we hire an Area Manager .
ROLE SUMMARY / PURPOSE:
- To lead the promotion and sales of MTG products and the management of the distribution network in North Europe (e.g. Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, ...)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with the Regional Manager in defining the strategy for the introduction the company brand and products in the sales territory through market research, industry studies,
and analysis of competitors.
- Maintains existing customer relationships while identifying new market opportunities and proposing potential distributors to drive sales for our products.
- Achieves assigned sales targets (volume and profit) of the catalogue of products as defined by the company for the geographical area of responsibility.
- Monitors business results and provides support to Dealers in order to achieve sales targets (volume and profit).
- Trains, motivates and provides technical assistance to the Dealers and End Users in the area of responsibility.
- Accompanies Dealers on their regular visits to End Users (quarries, mines, etc.) to help them follow-up on installations, identify new business opportunities, provide technical or
commercial assistance, etc.
- Performs company and product presentations to end users and prepares and deliversbusiness proposals.
- Assures all information related to the distribution map (e.g. buckets, contacts, machines, maintenance plan) is properly registered and updated in the internal CRM system.
- Manages accounts receivables and customer risk of clients.
- Proposes the annual sales budget for the area of responsibility (by customer and products) .
-Executes the Trade Marketing policies on the sales distribution network.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S., M.S. or PhD. level degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering). Additional MBA highly desirable.
- Candidates must have specific experience in the construction or mining sectors with at least 3 years of GET sales experience through distribution network or end user technical
GET support experience.
- Good understanding on earth-moving machines, buckets, buckets reparation and welding.
- Sales opener style.
- Ability to work independently, with high customer and results orientation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should possess a thorough understanding of sales skills and tactics and have demonstrated use of these skills in
the past. He/she also has to transmit the customers he/she is reliable, technical, proactive in problem resolution and adds value in the relationship with the distributor.
- Open-minded and able to work in multicultural environments.
- Must be fluent in German and English (speak, read, and write). Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Willing to travel 70-80% of the time.
