Our client is looking for a Digital Strategy Director in Madrid, Spain. This is an exciting opportunity to set up Digital for Spain, from a team and business perspective, as well as drive our digital capabilities across the EMEA region and lead our diverse portfolio of clients in hospitality, technology, automotive, health, food & beverage and more, across Barcelona and Madrid. The Role The successful candidate should have experience in the Brand/Consumer, Corporate and B2B space, ideally having worked for a digital agency or integrated marketing firm. You will have a track record of leading digital strategy, social and content strategies, delivering integrated projects and improving the ways of working within the team and into other agency functions (i.e. Creative, Strategy). Key Responsibilities: -Leading new business pitches including developing proposals and managing the junior teams’ input -Set up Digital area for Spain in an entrepreneurial start-up atmosphere by leveraging the EMEA network as well as the regional lead’s support -Lead and manage a team , grow the digital team as the business grows. Lead and drive thought leadership for Digital inside the company and into the teams and network as well as clients -Ensure digital, along with social and content is at the forefront of briefs, integrated into the team’s thinking and responses to both new business and existing client proposals -Proactively identify digital opportunities on existing clients and new business processes; experience in working with finance in forecasting · Min. 8-10 years of working in digital and social within an agency, marketing firm or editorial digital publisher · A strong leadership figure, confident and representative, excellent management skills · Track record in content and social strategies, audience planning/mapping, community management as well as new, innovative technologies · Knowledge on influencer marketing as well as measurement and digital analytics is a plus · Experience working across B2B and B2C clients · An eye for digital innovation, trends, and a heart for good creative · Strong communications skills, verbal and written - able to develop high-quality strategy, write documents and proposals · Leadership experience, entrepreneurial self-starter, setting up budgets, requirements, planning, staffing and financial proposals for clients · Experience with working with in-house content creation teams as well as external agencies and vendors · Great collaborator, internal connector, and relationship builder · Confident digital counsel to clients on strategic digital work · Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage expectations against budgets / results · Strong knowledge of the Spanish digital landscape including social platforms and technology · A solid understanding of the principles of content marketing and the ability to convey them both internally and to clients · English proficiency level is mandatory
