Catenon is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join the management team of a luxury lifestyle hotel in Ibiza.
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Operations Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the entire strategy and operations of the Culinary department, ensuring exceptional guest experience, strong financial performance, conceptual innovation, and adherence to the service standards expected of a contemporary luxury hotel.
Main responsibilities:
- With cultural sensitivity, lead, inspire, develop, and train multicultural kitchen teams, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence. Providing Inspirational leadership focused on developing talent and building high-performing teams.
- Develop and implement innovative, seasonal and sustainable menus, including breakfast concepts reflecting the hotel’s personality and guest expectations.
- Strengthen operational efficiency through expert knowledge of menu engineering, cost control, purchasing strategy, waste reduction, budgeting and financial KPIs.
- With proficiency in both large-volume production and detailed, high-quality execution, ensure exceptional food quality, presentation consistency, and compliance with HACCP and local health regulations.
- Organise, plan, and operate all culinary aspects of events, including activations, special events, private dining, banqueting and large-scale productions.
- Act as a culinary ambassador during tastings, brand events, collaborations, press interactions and guest-facing experiences.
- Execute and coordinate the correct seasonal opening and closing, ensuring operational readiness at the start of the season and proper shutdown procedures at the end.
The role requires a highly skilled leader with experience managing complex, high-volume operations within a creative, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment.
Profile:
- Minimum 4 years as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in lifestyle hotels, luxury hospitality, or high-volume multi-outlet operations with diverse concepts.
- Experience in Mediterranean, Asian and contemporary international cuisine is highly appreciated.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Creative thinker with strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments while maintaining calm, structure and precision.
- Pre-opening experience is a strong plus.
- Spanish is essential and English is highly valued.
