Technical Marketing Manager Latam
Requirements
Education: Chemistry, Engineering, or related Discipline, MBA preferred
Work Experience: 5 + years experience in technical sales/marketing of base oils/transformer oils or applicable customer engagement experience in a similar industry; total of 10+ years of industry experience
Special Skills/Knowledge:
Excellent relationship skills at various levels with within an organization (engineer to executive)
Self-starter, hard worker, independent, ability to work remotely
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Other duties/responsibilities:
Member of industry organizations and industry representative
Assists in training and coaching sales executives
Cross functional coordination
Travel demand 50-70%
Responsabilities:
1. Maintain assigned accounts and identifying new business opportunities to generate
revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow:
a. Actively seek out new sales opportunities through current customers, networking,
and industry events.
b. Participating in developing and executing strategies to support business growth.
c. Collaborate with Customer and Product Services teams to ensure technical
requirements are met together with profit goals.
d. Maintaining current client relationship and identifying areas for potential new
customers.
e. Meeting sales targets. Preparing and sending quotes and proposals.
f. Managing the sales process through specific software (Salesforce).
2. Develops data and methods to assist in the marketing of products in existing
Applications.
a. Develop product presentations, technical briefs, and other tools to support selling the
technical story effectively.
b. Research and maintain technical competitive intelligence in key markets, including
building technical comparisons of our competition.
3. Participate in industry organizations for key applications.
a. Represents the company’s objectives for development of future regulations.
b. Gathers, organizes, and shares critical information that would help us shape our
products for the future.
c. Gathers, organizes, and shares critical information that would help us understand the
future of our products in the current markets.
4. Identifies opportunities for development of new and innovative products in our key
applications.
a. Participating in product launches to build technical product messaging, developing
product collateral and sales tools as well as general support of the launch plan.
5. Serves as Project Lead for development of new specific solutions to the assigned
region/market and introduction of new products.
a. Role requires ownership and project management of technical sales and marketing
initiatives, working closely with the other members of marketing, sales, production,
product research and development.
6. Develops and makes presentations at key industry meetings representing our company,
products, and initiatives. Clearly expresses technical concepts to small and large groups.
7. Supports marketing in providing information and justification for key growth projects for the
organization. (R&D Efforts, P&E project justification, etc.).
