FONCTIONS
For our client, a global company specializing in energetic materials. For their Defense division, we are looking for a Sales Area Manager. The main functions are:
Identification and development of business opportunities:
- Identify and analyze market trends and customer needs in the assigned area.
- Lead, manage and control the regional sales activities.
- Actively participate into regular sales planning (Forecasting) for assigned region.
- Position the company as potential supplier and offer commercially attractive solutions.
Development of an acquisition strategy
- Develop a strong commercial network (traders, agents) in the assigned markets.
- Develop and implement individualized strategies with existing and potential customers.
- Pricing strategy and analysis to beat competitive offerings.
Acquisition of orders
- Secure formal Request for Proposals / Request for Quotations.
- Develop and prepare offers to respond to client ́s RFPs and other customer ́s buying processes.
Internal facilitation
- Work with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D and Marketing to ensure customer profitability.
- Contact (local) authorities according to relevant requirements of the applicable laws.
Customer relationship management
- Provide customer support to assure high loyalty and satisfaction levels
- Regular and effective communication with end users/technical advisors.
- Monitor and ensure optimal customer satisfaction.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor Degree in Business Administration Or Engineering
- 5 years broad marketing and selling experience within the manufacturing industry
- 5 years experience and understanding of the defense industry (customers, suppliers and product requirements).
- Knowledge of the product life cycles in terms of development, industrialization, business development, order acquisition, order execution and through life support.
- Broad experience in industry standards (arms control protocols, trade legislation, shipping hazardous goods, payment instruments and quality standards).
- Proven experience in contract negotiations with end users, procurement agencies and business partners in the international marketing arena
- Knowledge of business development protocols, product performance properties and military application doctrines
- B2B and B2G sales experience and solid track-record
- Strong knowledge and networking in any of the key Systems markets - (North Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia, etc)
- Good knowledge of ammunition products and services is valued
- Willing to travel nationally and internationally.
- Local language (Spanish C1/C2), fluent in English, other languages are valued.
