FUNKTIONEN
Reporting to Strategy & Business Development Director, the Business Development Manager will be managing a team with the following requirements, responsibilities and tasks:
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Engineering or Chemistry)
- Not only has a theorical knowledge but also hands-on experience working in biotechnology area
- Know-how in biotechnology
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team management skills
- Strong persuasion skills
- Willing to relocate to Istanbul (Turkey)
Main Responsibilities:
- To closely follow trends and developments in the world and local pharmaceutical industry, regulations, and to evaluate short/medium/long term opportunities and risks and produce projects
- Identify key business trends in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries and recommend value-adding business initiatives, including M&A, strategic portfolio creation, business diversification, and project optimization
- Evaluate potential business deals and options by analyzing market strategies, contract requirements, potential and financials, setting internal priorities and making equity investment recommendations
- Identifying new projects and/or products (for both imported and domestic production) and initiating internal and external negotiations with relevant parties
Tasks:
- Finding trend-setting ideas by researching the industry and related events, publications and announcements; keeping track of contributors and their achievements
- Examine potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential and financials; evaluating options, resolving internal priorities; advising for equity investments
- Developing negotiation strategies and positions by examining the integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations; exploring risks and potentials, assessing partners' needs and goals
- Making new business deals by coordinating the requirements; developing and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with business operations
- To update his/her professional knowledge by participating in training opportunities; reading professional publications, keeping personal network up to date; join professional organizations
- Provide technical information and analyze to bridge the gaps between the company's business requirements and feasibility
- Contributing to the renewal of the product portfolio and regularly reviewing and updating business development projects
- Providing the necessary support to the licensing team in the licensing process of new products
- To work in close cooperation with Sales and Marketing, Finance, License Registration and R&D in order to achieve the determined goals and objectives
