Revenue & Profitability Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a Revenue & Profitability Manager to drive the evolution of business analysis and reporting models within an international organisation in the FMCG sector.

The role combines a strong financial and commercial perspective with an innovative approach to data analytics and Artificial Intelligence. The objective is to transform complex financial and operational data into valuable strategic insights, enabling faster, more efficient and better-informed decision-making.

The position will act as a strategic partner to the Business Unit Director, playing a key role in transforming operational data into actionable insights and high-impact business decisions. The successful candidate will also drive the transition towards a more automated, accessible and results-oriented business intelligence model by incorporating AI-powered solutions that enable users to query, analyse and interpret information using natural language, thereby supporting faster, more informed and more efficient decision-making.

Responsibilities:

1. Business Analysis and Financial Performance
Lead the analysis of business performance, including revenue, operating expenses, margins and profit and loss (P&L).
Identify trends, variances, risks and opportunities to improve business performance.
Translate financial and operational data into executive-level insights and strategic recommendations for senior management.
Support the management team in evaluating results and defining corrective actions and improvement initiatives.

2. Artificial Intelligence and Smart Data
Identify and implement opportunities to apply Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to business analysis and reporting.
Develop and optimise solutions that enable users to query and interpret data using natural language.
Improve the accessibility, speed and efficiency of obtaining relevant information for decision-making.
Drive the development of a Self-Service Intelligence model that reduces reliance on manual reporting and repetitive analytical tasks.

3. Business Intelligence and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to understand existing data models, reporting structures and business logic.
Ensure that new AI-powered solutions address the organisation's actual needs and deliver reliable, consistent information.
Act as a bridge between business functions, data teams and technology stakeholders.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality, reporting consistency and the organisation's analytical capabilities.

4. Reporting Optimisation and Transformation
Review and simplify existing management reporting processes.
Identify opportunities to automate processes and eliminate recurring manual tasks.
Develop more efficient, scalable reporting solutions tailored to the needs of senior management.
Foster a data-driven decision-making culture by facilitating access to relevant information at all levels of management.

Requirements:

Professional Experience: 8–10 years or more in Business Controlling, Business Performance Analysis, Strategic Analysis, Business Intelligence or similar roles.
Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of profit and loss (P&L), key financial indicators, cost structures, revenue and profitability.
Artificial Intelligence: Practical knowledge of Generative AI tools, LLMs and virtual assistants, preferably applied to business analysis, financial reporting or data analytics.
Business Acumen: Ability to connect financial and operational information with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
Communication: Excellent summarising and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders, bridging management needs with data and technology solutions.
Languages: Advanced English proficiency (C1 level), with the ability to operate effectively in an international environment.
