Job Description:
The CIO is responsible for establishing and executing the IT transformation program for the company. This role involves defining and driving the evolution of the operating model by creating and redefining the technology strategy, sponsoring and overseeing key projects across the organization, and ensuring successful execution within scope, budget, quality, and deadlines.
The CIO oversees and optimizes the entire application portfolio and activities across all hotels, including projects and operations, being a member of the Executive Committee, leading a team of 30 internal professionals and external collaborators, as well as the budget dedicated to transformation projects over the next few years.
The position reports to the Group CEO.
FONCTIONS:
Strategic investment and alignment with the business. The CIO must prioritize initiatives that align with the business strategy and generate measurable value, respecting the overall IT framework. This includes establishing strong relationships with stakeholders to understand challenges and opportunities, and translating strategic objectives into effective tactical plans. Their role involves analyzing projects to ensure governance and guarantee transparency.
Architecture, Infrastructure, and Service Delivery. The CIO implements the architecture and roadmap of Sandos Mexico, overseeing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and continuous quality improvement. They will select and implement technologies that streamline operations and maximize strategic benefits, while managing service level agreements (SLAs) and ensuring compliance with Group policies.
Operational Efficiency and Compliance. Responsible for the delivery and optimization of IT services, driving efficiency improvements, and maintaining a high-quality infrastructure. Will ensure compliance with security and architecture standards, implementing policies and practices that support secure and reliable operations.
Leadership and Innovation: The CIO leads and develops a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and creative problem-solving. Will drive change and transformation initiatives to fuel the organization's continued growth and evolution.
EXIGENCES:
Qualifications and Experience
• Extensive experience managing large and diverse IT teams in matrix organizations (over 20 years).
• Solid experience in technology and business roles at established companies.
• Proven track record leading digital transformation initiatives (cloud, AI, Agile, data).
• More than 10 years of experience in project management, leading large and complex projects using Agile methodologies.
• Experience driving transformative IT and customer service strategies to gain a competitive advantage.
Technical and Leadership Skills
• Deep business acumen with a focus on organizational challenges and change leadership; a business-oriented transformation leader.
• Influential leader capable of driving alignment and achieving results at multiple levels (local, regional, and international, which could impact the implementation of global programs or financial results).
• Ability to work effectively in teams and leverage individual skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, adaptable to dynamic environments. • We also value passion and interest in alternative open-source systems for future community development.
