Health And Safety Manager IPP

Our client, a fast-growing leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their team in Milan. This strategic leadership role offers the opportunity to shape safety culture and drive compliance across solar, battery storage, and hybrid projects in Europe.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Health & Safety Manager will have high visibility and influence on operational strategy. This role involves strategic and operational responsibility for defining and executing the H&S vision across project lifecycles in Italy, Spain, and other European markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Standards & Systems: Develop and implement a Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
- Contract Oversight: Define and enforce H&S obligations in EPC and TCMA contracts with contractors.
- Audit & Monitoring: Conduct audits, risk assessments, performance reviews, and incident investigations.
- Geographic Scope: Oversee H&S operations across all project sites in Italy, Spain, and other European markets.
- Autonomy: Take full ownership of the H&S vision with strategic and operational responsibility.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in H&S roles within renewables, construction, or industrial environments.
- Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent are valued.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required. Other European language is a plus. Desired Spanish.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of European HSE legislation, contractor oversight, and ISO standards.
- Soft Skills: Strong communicator, influencer, and cultural ambassador for safety.
