Payroll Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a hands-on and highly operational Payroll Manager to take full ownership of payroll and personnel administration in Italy.

This is not a purely managerial or strategic position. The role requires a senior payroll specialist mindset — someone who enjoys the day-to-day detail, understands operational complexity, and is ready to assume full responsibility while building processes in a hands-on, growing environment.

Responsibilities:

-End-to-end payroll management for 200+ employees (and growing)
-Manual review and validation of payroll data
-Reconciliation of variable components (night shifts, overtime, bonuses, etc.)
-Coordination with external labor consultants
-Implementation and parameterization of payroll ERP
-Development and structuring of payroll processes
- Ensure full compliance with Italian labor legislation and CCNL

Requirements:

5–7+ years of payroll experience in Italy

Fluency in English (Spanish is a plus)

Experience managing 150–200+ employees

Strong knowledge of Italian labor law and CCNL

Experience in multi-site environments

Hands-on experience with variable payroll components

Experience with payroll ERP systems (implementation or migration is highly valued)

Advanced Excel skills
