Our client, a global supplier of water and climate systems for construction and infrastructure projects, is seeking a passionate Key Account Manager (m/f/d) to drive their business in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for developing and executing account and sales strategies for key specifiers and contractors, while building strong, long-term relationships with strategic customers. In addition, you will contribute to the further development and expansion of commercial activities in Belgium.
• Develop, implement, and continuously refine account and sales strategies for key customers (specifiers and contractors)
• Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with key customers and sales partners
• Identify customer needs and align them with solutions
• Drive revenue growth by meeting or exceeding agreed sales targets
• Acquire new customers and support new business development within key accounts
• Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of the business in Belgium, working closely with relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate all relevant activities for key customers across sales regions, sales partners, and internal departments
• Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, especially field sales and project sales, ensuring close alignment
• Lead relationship management activities, including regular customer interactions and annual meetings
• Create, maintain, and follow up on key account plans, ensuring both qualitative and quantitative transparency
• Monitor key account performance using relevant data, figures, and KPIs
• Manage budgeting and demand planning processes
• Develop and execute customer development plans with a strong customer-centric approach
• Prepare, negotiate, and follow up on commercial terms and conditions
• Represent the company at exhibitions, events, and factory visits
• Support and represent the Director Sales Benelux in various tasks and initiatives
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• 5+ years of experience in field sales and key account management, ideally within construction with exposure to contractors and specifiers
• Strong understanding of business administration principles
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Fluent in Dutch and English; German or French is a plus
• Willingness to travel frequently
