Main responsibilities
• Implementation of QHSE policy and action plans, ensuring regulatory monitoring, developing QHSE instructions,
local technical specification and guidelines.
• Prepare, implement and monitor PV solar and onshore wind project specific QHSE systems, management plans, associated
processes, risk maps, procedures and documents (aligning them with corporate Management System and local, regional,
state legislation applicable to the Project).
• Responsible for implementation of compliant Incident Management and Emergency Response processes, with ability and
competence to review and provide investigation outcomes.
• Coordinate QHSE resources both internal and Contractors in order to ensure effective implementation of policies and
requirements.
• Supervision and reporting to the Business Management the status, progress and performance of the Project from the
QHSE perspectives, identifying potential risks, safety preventive actions, non-conformities and solutions, monitoring the
planning and action plans for delays, economic control and others.
• Undertake rigorous construction QHSE auditing to provide confidence that projects are executed in line with specified time,
budgetary, and objectives related to QHSE management and topics.
• Contractor management on QHSE, in terms of documentation, management systems, performance monitoring and
reporting, improvement – best practices, audits, regular site representation, preventive/corrective measures management,
induction/ training preparation, Close-outs etc.
• Participate and contribute in Due Diligence processes, coordinating with external consultants and internal support teams.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Civil engineer) or related field.
• 5 + years’ experience in the energy industry, ideally in the renewable energy (wind / solar / batteries) sector.
• Specific training qualifications in Management systems: Quality, Environment, Health and Safety with deep knowledge
of their respective standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 - Training as QHSE auditor will be valued).
• Valid qualification in occupational health and safety.
• Training qualifications and recent relevant experience in Incident Investigation methodology will be valued.
• Environmental specific training would be preferred.
• Essential to demonstrate deep knowledge of Local Environmental, Health & Safety Laws (and subsequent regulations),
electrical standards, works at height and lifting (crane) operations standards, along with local and international industrial
best practices.
• Advance user in MS Office & document management platforms (AutoCad & GIS is preferred but not essential).
• Knowledge on construction of wind farms and solar plants as well as civil and electrical design is a plus.
• Technical and proven leadership skills with an ability to balance and prioritize competing interests.
• Excellent communication, diplomatic, networking and influencing skills. Ability to interact with contractors and lead
them from the QHSE perspective.
• Ability to work within approved budgets and under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results.
• German (native), English (full professional competence), any additional language would be a plus.
• Availability to travel frequently (national and international)
