As a Financial Tender Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Business Development department, based in the Barcelona office. Reporting directly to the Tender Manager, you will be instrumental in securing new projects and partnerships through meticulous financial planning and strategic tender management.
The Financial Tender Manager is responsible for supporting the preparation of public tender proposals by developing financial models, analysing budgets, evaluating economic feasibility, and providing financial insights to the Offer Director and Tender Office.
This role contributes to the economic, administrative, and analytical aspects of tender preparation, ensuring that all financial components meet public procurement requirements and align with the company’s profitability objectives.
The Finance Tender Manager plays a key role in interpreting tender economic conditions, preparing CAPEX/OPEX models, analysing service profitability, working in several scenarios, and supporting the creation of accurate and competitive economic proposals.
Financial Evaluation:
- Develop detailed budgets and multi-year financial projections, including CAPEX, OPEX, revenue streams, margin analysis, and long-term performance.
- Build dynamic financial models integrating variables such as fleet size, user demand, pricing structures, maintenance costs, staffing levels, and service quality.
- Analyse operational data and market benchmarks to generate accurate assumptions for usage, revenue, and cost structures.
- Evaluate multiple operational and financial scenarios and provide recommendations to guide strategic decisions.
- Prepare business plans, economic annexes, and financial documents required for public tenders.
- Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Technical, and Development teams to ensure models reflect real operational conditions.
- Present financial analyses clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Work with the Finance Department to validate pricing strategies and ensure profitability and EBITDA targets are met.
Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Management:
- Maintain and continuously improve the company’s base tender template, integrating key learnings from previous tenders and feedback from operational, technical, and commercial teams.
- Update standard technical and administrative documentation (certificates, legal documents, templates, descriptions) to ensure readiness for future submissions.
- Contribute to improving tendering processes by documenting lessons learned and best practices.
Cross-functional Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with the Offer Director to ensure alignment between administrative, technical, and commercial components of the proposal.
- Coordinate with the Development team to gather relevant partner documentation and tender-specific requirements.
- Ensure that the company meets the requirement of the economical solvency and legal structure to submit the offer.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Proven experience in similar roles within the financial area, specifically managing tenders and proposals.
