As Strategic Sourcing Director, you will be part of the procurement leadership team, supporting the long term strategy of their main strategic materials , ensuring secure, cost-effective, and risk managed supply & quality in alignment with the company´s operational, financial and sustainability goals. This position will play a key role in building long term strategies for commodities suppliers and will have solid strategic skills and price risk management with proven successful results. As key responsibilities we highlight the following: • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories, based on market intelligence and business needs (spend approx. 500M) • Monitor key markets and analyze price trends, supply chain risks, and geopolitical factors that could affect raw material costs. • Lead negotiations and close commercial agreements or long-term contracts with domestic and international suppliers. • Collaborate with finance and risk teams to manage risk exposure, including financial strategies where applicable. • Secure timely availability of raw materials while optimizing cost, quality, and service levels. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications and supplier performance requirements are met. • Manage supplier performance through regular reviews and KPIs • Contribute to working capital optimization via inventory management and payment term negotiations. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the company’s financial goals through leading efficiency programs. • Maintain procurement reports and dashboards: cost savings, market analysis, contract status, supplier risk assessments. Our ideal candidate will have: - University Degree - At least 10 years experience in similar position leading strategic sourcing projects in FMCG / Commodities companies. - Strong understanding of global commodity markets and price drivers. - Proficient in procurement tools . - Data analysis skills; Power BI or similar tools are a plus. - Strong contract management and negotiation skills. - Fluent in English and Spanish.Additional languages are a plus. - Strategic and analytical thinking - Strong negotiation and influencing skills - Results-oriented and cost-conscious - Cross-functional collaboration - Risk awareness and decision-making - Supplier relationship management - Clear communication and executive reporting
