As an Account Manager, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence and driving revenue growth. You will collaborate with distributors, internal sales teams, and marketing to develop and implement a strategic sales plan. Your role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with key end-users and distribution partners, achieving sales targets, and increasing market share through strategic initiatives and deep product knowledge.
Your responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with distributors, internal sales teams, and the Regional Sales Director to identify and target key end-user accounts. Develop and implement an annual sales plan with specific revenue goals by distributor and product category.
- Revenue Growth: Design and execute strategies to grow territory revenue and meet assigned sales targets.
- Relationship Management:
-> Analyze and visit distributors, integrators, paint shops, training centers, and end-users (Tier 1/2 in the automotive supply chain and general industry) to promote the full range of products.
-> Perform product demonstrations and trial runs ("Seeing is Believing") to generate leads and sales revenue.
-> Follow up on business opportunities through the distribution and integrator network and develop strategic sales plans.
-> Liaise with manufacturers of coatings, viscous products, adhesives, and sealants to ensure our equipment is specified with their materials.
- End-User Engagement: Assess customer needs and build long-lasting, productive relationships. Proactively target competitor equipment and aim to replace it with our own solutions to meet/exceed sales objectives.
- Product Expertise: Promote the full product portfolio, including liquid finishing, powder coating, and viscous material (e.g., adhesives and sealants) application technologies.
- Training & Support: Train and support distributor staff to ensure they are competent in servicing customers and promoting our products. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for end-users and partners.
- Market Analysis: Use market segment analysis and time/territory management principles to develop focused strategies.
- Event Participation: Attend internal sales meetings and training sessions to stay up to date with the latest developments. Represent the company at trade shows and technical events.
- Budget Management: Prepare, submit, and manage an annual travel budget.
- Reporting: Provide regular monthly reports and feedback to management using designated reporting tools. Share insights regarding product development needs and market trends.
Your profile:
- 5+ years of professional experience in technical sales within general industry.
- Ideally, experience or understanding of coating atomization technology, spray finishing equipment, fluid (liquid and viscous) handling and application, and powder/liquid electrostatic technologies.
- Proficiency in managing a distribution network.
- Mechanical knowledge of finishing equipment used across different industries is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Understanding of paint and solvent properties and experience with relevant testing equipment is an advantage.
- Proficient in standard software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems. Strong mathematical skills to calculate discounts, margins, and ROI.
- Native-level French and conversational English (B1–B2 level).
- Willingness to travel frequently within the northern half of France.
