FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities: Drive the preparation and production of management and audited financial accounts. Drive budget preparation and control, maintenance of assets registers, asset and liability pricing management, invoice payment and expense control. Manage reconciliation, investigation and control of Nostro and internal suspense accounts. Keep abreast of regulatory and legislative changes around accounting and providing advice to enable the businesses to operate in a controlled manner. Develop and implement accounting policies as required. Advise and liaise with the Deputy Manager on all financial and budgetary matters. Be in daily cooperation with accounting departments in Head Office. Closely cooperate with internal and external auditors. Liaise with external auditors, and officials from the German authorities such as Bundesbank, Bundesfinanzministerium, Finanzamt, etc. Drive the preparation and production of performance management information and senior management reports. Contribute to the development and implementation of the Bank’s strategic plan. Qualifications: Business administration, finance or economics degree. A Masters or postgraduate degree will be valued positively. Minimum 5 years documented professional accounting experience acquired. Affinity to IT solutions for accounting and standard office tools (Excel, etc.). Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and German; Spanish language skills are required. Competencies: Excellent clear and concise communication skills. Excellent interpersonal professional relations skills. Superior organizational skills. Results and priorities driven. Pragmatic, hands-on approach to work. Team player with the ability to work both independently and as a team member. Highly committed and self-motivated to work in a flexible, demanding working environment.
