For our client, a Multinational Company in the Industrial sector, we're looking for a Head of Customs who will Lead, establish, define, represent, organize, and coordinate all Customs Strategy and Foreign Trade Operations Worldwide. Your mission is to fulfill their requirements in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring Compliance and with an optimal cost-benefit relation, within a Global, Ethical, and Legal Framework, aligned with the Corporate Global strategy.
Functions & Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures for import and export activities, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Interact with regional/local country managers to develop standard practices and identify synergies.
- Facilitate policy, procedures, and systems regarding imports and exports, focusing on Trade Compliance.
- Support business plans for production, sales, and marketing in compliance with customs regulations.
- Advocate changes in customs trade laws and regulations, representing corporate interests.
- Develop staff and build alliances with managers and counterparts in the auto industry.
- Contribute to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.
- Communicate effectively with regional and global directors regarding identified risks and mitigation plans.
- Support the development/implementation of best practices within the region.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Customs & Trade, International Business, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of customs experience and at least 5 years in the Industrial sector.
- Knowledge of International Law, International Business, and tariff classification.
- Fluency in Spanish and English required; Spanish Native and English C1-C2
- Knowledge of Portuguese and optional French valued.
- Proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on results.
- Excellent communication, proactive, dynamic, and disruptive personality.
